QMetry Test Management for Jira Add-on is developed to extend the use of QMetry Test Management tool in integration with JIRA. The Add-on empowers the users to manage their testing projects within JIRA itself and, hence, it enhances the potentiality of JIRA projects to carry on the entire test cycles smoothly. In addition to standard JIRA Issue Types, you can create Test Scenario, Test Case and Test Run type of issues if you have the QTM Add-on installed and configured with your JIRA. The hierarchy of test scenarios, test cases, and test steps can be created and maintained directly from JIRA stories. Test Runs for stories or test scenarios can be created to execute immediately or in future. The comprehensive test metrics help users in decision making and monitoring test activities of the organization.

You can also import issues from external file like Excel into JIRA through QTM Importer, an import utility that comes with the QTM for JIRA Add-on. The collaboration with Confluence, HipChat, and JIRA Capture adds value when the team is working in dispersed geographies or when there is inter-dependency within the team. Once you log into JIRA, you can see QMetry on the top navigation bar if you have QTM Add-on configured with JIRA. The QMetry menu item appears with other items like Dashboards, Projects, Issues and Boards.
